Handy Dorceus

LEAD PROGRAMMER
Handy D.#8052

Greetings! I'm Handy from Rebirth Robotics. As a programmer for the robotics software department, I help ensure that our robots are fully equipped with capabilities to traverse the most hostile environments during a deep-space expedition. As a graduating senior from Tufts University, I look forward to future opportunities to learn and share experiences with talented peers and professionals alike.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL GEOGRAPHER

Hi! I’m Riley, an Extraterrestrial Geographer at Rebirth Robotics. I am in charge of finding the best suitable planets for our missions. This entails lots of precise mapping of the terrain as well as research into how to get a robot to safely travel at the speed of light through strange portals to other worlds—something I still haven’t quite figured out how to do without the controls getting a bit…funky. Being freshman with a passion for programming can only get you so far in outer space, but I look forward my next 3 years at Tufts University, where I plan to pursue a major in more Earth-oriented computer science.

Eragon Ma

ROBOTIC SUIT DESIGNER, EXPERIENCE DESIGNER
EMA24#6558

Hi! I designed the hardware components of the robotic suit, such as arms, legs, jet pack, and head unit. I also designed the overall exploration experience-- namely, how our customers are able to use our robot to interact with the different terrains. I am a junior at Tufts University majoring in Human Factors Engineering with a passion in UIUX Design and Game Design. I will be leaving Rebirth soon, so this is my last project, but Rebirth Robotics has been my favorite company to work for! Can't wait to start my next chapter!

PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Hello! I develop and design the movement and interactions to allow our robots to maneuver through these complex environments with ease, but I’ve also accidentally included a lot of mechanics that might create some difficulty for anyone controlling the robots. The company didn’t notice so to anyone who has to control these robots: you’re in for a surprise. I’m not sure why they hired a sophomore majoring in economics from Tufts University to program these robots, but in my opinion these mechanics will make the expedition a whole lot more fun.
